Following the acquisition in September of 355,000m² of industrial land in Guadalajara, as reported by SpanishREIT.com, Montepino Logistica has acquired a 22,914m² plot in the province of Barcelona.
The plot is located in the Can Serra Industrial Complex which is situated in San Esteban de Sasroviras, the home town of Spanish Grammy award winner Rosalía in the Province of Barcelona. It is situated on the left bank of the Anoia river, and served by FGC railway line R-6 from Barcelona. The town is located 40km northwest of the city of Barcelona and has direct access to the AP-7 and A-2 motorways which link the French border with the Spanish Mediterranean and the centre of Spain. Montepino Logística plans to develop a logistic property with c. 13,000 m² of GLA.
Juan José Vera, vice president of Montepino Logística, explains that following this first acquisition they «hope to expand Montepino’s real estate portfolio with more projects of these characteristics and create state of the art spaces which are fully adapted to the needs of the group’s customers».
