Spanish REIT, Domo Activos, has purchased the Metro office building located on Calle de Cavanilles, 58, in Madrid’s Retiro district.
The asset has a GLA of c. 7,500m² distributed over seven floors, as well as building rights to add more office, commercial and parking spaces. It is currently let to Madrid’s Metro train company, who will leave when the construction of their new headquarters is completed, on the Avenida de Asturias, next to Plaza de Castilla. Works are expected to finalise in the summer of 2020.
In fact, Domo is currently developing the new Metro headquarters, which will have an almost-null carbon footprint and will incorporate sustainable elements such as 56 geothermal wells or a system of rainwater recovery to irrigate the green areas of the complex.
Domo Activos Socimi is led by Feliciano Conde (pictured above), former director at Indra and Enrique Guerra Perez, who worked for Reyal Urbis and Taller de Gestión group as head for the regions of Aragón and La Rioja.
The company made its debut in September 2017 at a share price of €2.09 which has grown 4.3% to €2.18 at market close on Thursday.
