Panattoni, a market leader in industrial real estate in Europe, gains ground in Spain. Barely a few weeks since opening its Spain office, Panattoni has acquired land in Torija near Madrid. The construction of Panattoni Park Madrid East, with more than 28,400 sqm of space, will start in the first half of 2020.
The site is just at 30 minutes’ drive from Madrid, right next to the A2 motorway (Madrid – Barcelona) in the Guadalajara province. The six motorways intersecting in the heart of Spain (A1 – A6) will provide future tenants with excellent connectivity to Barcelona, France and Portugal. The container terminal 10 minutes away will additionally make for multimodal connections, using freight trains to get to some of the main seaports of Spain. Moreover, the international airport in Madrid is just a 25 minutes’ drive away.
In this same line Gustavo Cardozo Lupi, who leads the project as Panattoni’s Managing Director for Spain and Portugal, has highlighted how «Despite the current context, Panattoni is firmly committed to the market in Spain, materializing in this first investment in Panattoni Park Madrid East, offering our clients a high quality and environmentally friendly logistics building at the most competitive rental price in the market in Corredor del Henares, a highly strategic location».
The facility, which has the BREEAM sustainable construction certificate, will be suitable for warehousing and logistics operations. It will have 28 docks and more than 140 parking spaces. There will also be a bus stop nearby, making it easier for employees to get to work.
