Habitat Inmobiliaria buys land in Barcelona suburb.

Habitat Inmobiliaria purchases a plot of land in Barcelona’s suburb of Badalona to develop flats.

Located in the neighborhood of El Gorg, the plot has over 2,300m² of surface area and 3,000m² of building rights allowing for a 40-flat project which will entail a €13 million investment.

“Following the recent purchase of a plot in Girona, this acquisition reinforces our presence in Catalonia, where we are studying other interesting opportunities,” states José Carlos Saz, CEO of the company.

The future residential complex is located between the Cervantes and Weyler streets, in an urban area surrounded by all the necessary amenities, such as schools, health centers, shopping centers, supermarkets and sports facilities.

It will also be well connected by road to the center of Barcelona – via the B-20 and C-31 motorways in addition to having easy access via metro line 2 and the H-10 city bus. Furthermore, the residential complex will be less than 29km from El Prat airport, 12km from Barcelona Sants AVE station and only five minutes walk from the beach.

This acquisition fits in with the business plan that the company, chaired by Juan María Nin and directed by José Carlos Saz, is carrying out and that, currently, involves the development of over 3,800 homes nationwide.
